Anyone interested in either reading or writing poetry may join PoetryPlease. Our goal is to bring together all sorts of people, from the published writer to the newbie.

Everything. Until you've gone through the steps to becoming a member (which is not nearly as arduous as it used to be), you cannot join staff, post any of your submissions for challenges, vote in the contests, or participate in those contests that are for members only. By becoming a member, you also earn the right to post your poetry for crtique in the Workshop forum.

The management and staff of PoetryPlease is always open for suggestions. The best way to get yourself heard is to leave a comment in our Suggestion Box, which can be found easily on our front page.

We do not feature any poems in our gallery at this time, therefore we do not accept random submissions. You can however submit a poem to a specific area of the club. For example, was your poem written for a contest? Did you complete one of our challenges and want to post the results? Do you wish to submit your work for critique to the PoetryPlease Workshop? Each area of the club has specific instructions of how your poem should be submitted (and where), so please follow the instructions outlined in the appropriate journal.

You will be added to PoetryPlease's member list once you've been added as a member. We also try to send a welcome note to every new member. If you only recently sent your request to join, please give us up to two weeks to add you.

Keeping up with an affiliates page was extra unnecessary work we decided to do away with. Since many clubs start out and then quit shortly after, continually updating the list was more effort than we had time for, and it wasn't providing much promotion for those clubs listed. The general admin of PoetryPlease, `ATrue, is however the publisher of The Lit List, so any promotional requests can be sent directly to her.
