The PoetryPlease suggestion box is designed for use by PoetryPlease members and non-members. Using it is simple: leave a comment with your club related suggestions. These may include:

i) contest or prompt themes
ii) new endeavours for the club to pursue
iii) ways to fix current club issues
iv) improvement to existing club projects
v) old features you want us to bring back

Pretty much anything goes, including constructive criticism if there's something happening here that you don't like. Non-members are encouraged to let us know why you are not part of our club and if there's anything we can does about it!

All we ask is that you keep the language clean and don't slam anyone else's idea, though you may reply to others' remarks politely to either second them or point out potential flaws. We welcome all your ideas, and now the fact that it came from you will be on record!

Thank you for your suggestion. We'll be considering your request for the future, though our next contest is already decided (and no, we're not telling yet). :)

I can only think of one thing that could be slightly improved (from the prospective of dA members who are students at least). I really wanted to enter the epic poetry contest, but because of the time that it started, I knew I wouldn't have enough time for such a big project due to it being exam time *groan*.

Obviously, this doesn't affect everyone, :) but maybe the larger contests like this could be set during summer holidays or even in September-December time, or something like that? Just to give some of the busy students who are committed to dA a better chance to enter such contests? Unless of course, those timings for bigger projects would interfere with people in other areas?

Well, the contest was five months long. I don't imagine any students have finals for 5 whole months. We did make sure to have a long process so that everyone could participate. The news article we just posted was only to remind people of the upcoming deadline.

When the time allows it, maybe you could have a contest that revolves around happiness or a peaceful time. I've only seen a couple of poems like that, and considering it is close to summer where I am, a lot of people are looking more content, and to be able to read about such things would sure be a nice change for readers. No?

Look to the world with open eyes, find joy in the small things, you may be surprised.

It's true, a lot of poetry can be negative. We'll have to think about that! But for now, the new Prosetry Contest has just been announced :D

Hmmm, how about a collab poem between members as a challenge or as a contest?

hmm, interesting idea. We'll consider this as an option after the Prosetry Contest is over. In the meantime, check out *CollabLit.
